Coatings Inspection

Roof and cladding coatings are becoming more popular, so we have trained our building surveyors and equipped them with the latest coatings inspection equipment, to provide this valuable service to clients, manufacturers and installers nationwide.

Roof and cladding coatings inspection services are becoming necessary because there are so many landlords opting to coat their industrial and commercial premises rather than replacing roof or cladding panels.

Recognising this fact, our building surveyors have undergone extensive inspection training in order to carry out surveys on works in progress and completed projects.

Using state of the art coatings inspection equipment, our surveyors can carry out inspections and provide the client with detailed reports to demonstrate whether a coating has been installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

The equipment used during our coatings inspections is capable of recording hundreds (or even thousands) of film weight measurements which can be compared with those specified by the manufacturer.

The measurements are averaged out across the entire installation to provide an easy to read assessment of the installation.

The coatings inspection service is also useful for older installations and warranty claims, since they prove that correct film weights were achieved or not, allowing the client to determine whether their claim should be against an installer, or the manufacturer.

It's also good practice to implement a regular (annual) coatings inspection regime in order to satisfy the requirements of most coatings guarantees.

In many cases, a manufacturer will rely on a client not carrying out inspections in order to avoid warranty liability!

Our service is available to coatings manufacturers, installers wanting independent verification of quality, or direct to clients or their property advisors nationwide.

To arrange a coatings inspection, call us on 0121 711 7110 and we'll make the necessary arrangements.

Warranty Surveys

If you have had construction work carried out on your commercial property, chances are that you will have a warranty for the products used.
The problem with warranties, is that they often contain a clause that the installed products are inspected annually or bi-annually, otherwise your warranty could be void.
